Originally from Indianapolis, IN, DJ Rican (Julio Enrique Rolon) is known for his energetic and diverse selection of music. From the Latin roots of the congas of Salsa classics to the 808's of hip-hop & house hits, Rican is able to adjust to any crowd on the dance floor.
Rican got his first break by participating in a DJ competition at Club Liquid and won first place. From that one event, it opened up the doors to spin at different clubs and venues. Rican has played at the following Nightclubs:
Indianapolis: Therapy Nightclub, Club Kaos, Cloud 9, El Meson, Adobo Grill, ICE Lounge, Subterra Night lounge, Revel Nightclub, Tiki Bobs, 6 Lounge, & Blu Nightclub.
Broad Ripple: Jazz Kitchen, The Red Room, Casba, Tru Nightclub, Club 929, & Vogue Nightclub.
Along with the club scene, Rican has a well reputation for the house party scene and college events such as IUPUI, Purdue University, Indiana University, and University of Indianapolis. Rican has provided services for the Gamma Phi Omega Sorority and the Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity.
Along with DJing, Rican is also the Official DJ of Los Urbanicos, a local Reggaeton Dio from Puerto Rico. DJ Rican has opened up for several artists such as Don Omar, Prince Royce, Plan B, Bachata Heights, Hector Acosta, Zion & Lennox, Tony Dize, Franco El Gorilla, Carlos & Alejandra, Toby Love, and J Alvarez.
Rican is also a proud member of La Mezcla for the Midwest Chapter. Rican also provides mixes for Exitos 1590AM in Indianapolis.
